93 Camaro electric fan not turning on?
I recently put my 3.4l back into my camaro, and it has basically new everything. I read the sticky above and I thought that not having my AC compressor plugged in would cause the electric fan to not turn on when the car gets hot. My fan does turn on when I plug my scanner in. If I hook my ac compressor wiring back up, will this fix my issue?
Thanks,

No, it won't.
I'll assume that a 93 and a 94 are mostly the same except that the 94 has an electronic transmission.
In a 94 the cooling fan can be triggered by coolant temp or a/c high side pressure. The two are are independent except that the PCM is activating the fan relay in both cases.
Is your coolant getting hot enough? I ask because I was baffled after getting my rebuilt 3.4 back together. I was trying to warm up the car without a radiator cap in order to burp the cooling system. No can do.
The PCM won't turn on the cooling fan until coolant temp reaches 225F. Yes, that's 225F, 13F above the boiling point of water. Waitng for the fan to turn on while the radiator cap was off was a wast of time becasue the coolant *boiled* before the fan turn on. Once I installed the cap and the system pressurized all was well.
The 3.4 does run hot, or at least go through extreme temp cycles as far as I'm concerned. With my 94 the coolant temp is much more stabile and lower overall when I'm running the a/c. That's becasue the cooling fan is running more steadily.

Well, my fan still isn't turning on, it approached almost 260 and no fan. I might have air in my system causing the high temps. I'll try letting it run with the cap off and burping the system when I put anti-freeze in.
