So giving that its a 3rd gen does that have more room... The motor will not be a spare no expense.... but right now I have a 900hp small block and has a 300 shot fogger on top of that and it runs 5:20 at 3000 lbs on a 315 drag radial in a 70 nova..... so trying to go into the 4's with a twin motor and stock suspension???

so i guess Im retarded ........ a 1997 is still 4th gen it just has an older frontend....... what about a small block twin .... i think i need to be around 2000hp
my buddy Dave's Camaro.

that car on 28psi and a full forged 408 stroker only made 1400rwhp. you want 2000hp, you're gonna need to go bigger. btw, his fastest pass with that setup was a high 8 second 1/4.

his last setup was this:

on 23psi (single PT106 turbo, 370ci LQ4 based sbc.) made 1602rwhp. if you want to try and RELIABLY make that kind of power, i'd say a BBC. the LSx engines are great engines, but you're talking about a $45k motor just to barely make 2000hp. it lasted 20 some odd passes before tossing one of the billet rods out of the block. it's already had the mph to run a sub 8 second 1/4 pass, just not enough grip on the track.

he's now building a 550+ci BBC with that same turbo in the same car. he's shooting for low 7's...

in total, from all three setups he's had so far (150 shot on stock bottom end LS1, twin 67mm turbos 408ci stroker, PT106 turbo 370ci) he's about $70k-$90k. in just engines alone.

Man o man that's what I want. Just with a BBC and 2000hp plus. High 8's really isnt going to work. Currant setup runs 8:80 on motor on drag radials. That is one truly good looking car. Would like twin 88 up in the number where grill is. The current Combo is Sb2 that's what kInd of heads... Original design NASCAR gm heads. Solid roller cam (big). Runs very good and super dependable on motor. A little tempermental on nos...... One truly good looking car. That's what I want
