4th gen camaro No horsepower

Default 4th gen camaro No horsepower

My 2000 camaro 3.8 5 spd has No horsepower, what can I do to fix this?

Sell it and buy a V8 car you'll be money ahead in the long run.

The 3800 should have about 200 hp. The Car is 3500lbs with a driver, The torque is not high. By todays standards it is not a fast car, The 5 speed manual helps if you have one. What I do not know is if your car is running at the full 200 ponies. Things like a partially plugged Cat or a fuel starvation can make a 200 hp car into a 120 hp car. Is your check engine light on? if the car is in limp home mode that would also reduce HP.

FYI the 3800 in your 2000 was a nice upgrade to the 3.4 that came in the 95 camaro and had 20 more HP then the Ford 3.8 that came in the mustang in 2000 and got better MPG then both.
