4l60e problems
hey my name is david im currently living in germany due to the fact im stationed here by the army. i just bought a 94 camaro with with a no forward movement problem... it goes into reverse i refrenced the 4l60e common problems sticky posted and theres one that similar but not exact it says "no forward movement in od or d ,but L2,L1 and R work: forward sprag is broken. R&R. try not to run or drive the car or further damage could result". now he story goes the previous owner was just driving down the autobahn and he lost all forward momentom... same problem?
due o the fact im living in germany buying a new tranny is kinda out of the question due to them cosing about 3000 euro thats about $5000 is there any way of rebuilding this so i can drive it or am i better trying to get a rebuilt trans?

hi dude, welcome to the forum
although my gear box is ok i had been pricing up a stronger rebuild kit from monster transmissions. I live in UK so i have to ship too. the best price i got for full works to rebuild the box myself was $2000 shipped (the UK taxes on top). I thing the basic rebuild kit is about $500 and $300 shipped to UK so you could get that?? Have a look just google monster transmissions
there is also a company in UK who can get a new box for about £1700 and they could ship to germany?
