Hey guys! Happy memorial day! I am now almost complete with the bottom end of my 383. Im now wondering if the Heads, cam Rocker arms are enough for this block? should i go bigger/smaller cam? Can a 383 see 6500RPM with forged internals? Yes my car is a daily driver before a race car but i do want to take it to the track during the miami winter season to run it every other weekend for about 3 months stright. I want to spary a 250 shot muchhhh later down the road, for now ill be spraying 75-125 for saftey issues. I dont know if i can even control that much haha!!! Thanks for all your help!!

The heads and cam look pretty good I would say, but I would definitely do 1.6RR instead, preferably Gold Cranes. If you wanted the most out of the stroker, I would actually spend the little more money to get heads and custom grind cam for Lloyd Elliot, as well as ported intake from him. Just saying, with a build like this, I would dish the money to go all the way.

Are you also doing a power adder besides nitrous? Dish pistons would make to be a low compression ratio and forged internals for power adders. With that being said, custom grind cam is way to go so your getting maximum performance for the boost. Sounds like a nasty build though!

you may want to consider 1.6 comp cam rr's. the cam seems plenty mild enough for a dd and it wouldnt hurt it to use the 1.6s. would be a good idea to up your compression to 11 to 1

Thanks guys ill consider all of your input. And timmy yea i plan muchhh later down the road maybe by mid 2013 to supercharge. I want to enjoy the build then add a few horses! Procharge looks like the way as of current. I would love a turbo system...have you guys heard of wild c.a.t.s for a tuning device?
