That's a decent deal with those wheels but the auto is a deal breaker for me. The paint on the SS hood isn't really my style either.

96 trans am 6 speed convertible

Be very thorough when checking out these cars and use any faults as leverage to talk the seller down a few hundred.

Dashboard cracks
Power window motors
Power window + door alignment
A/C and heat
Test the clutch health by giving it lots of throttle at low RPM (1500) in a high gear (4th and above)
Peeling or fading paint (check the sail panel, fenders, mirrors, etc.)
False low coolant light
Listen for gurgling or popping from the exhaust on deceleration (indicates if it's running rich)

Maybe where you are but they aren't rare around here. HardTops are just as rare as convertibles around here, find an m6 that's not beat to **** is rare, finding an m6 though in general isn't What I'd consider rare for you guys is a car with no rust and just because a car has a lot of miles doesn't mean it's not worth the asking price
