Default 3 piece convertible boot.

I just Craiglisted a hard boot (never installed and in factory storage bag) from a 2000 Z28 convert for cheap, and since my 96 Z28 vert wont be out of storage for another month, I am asking if it will fit my car. How much did this option cost new, and what does it sell for now. I feel I bought an option/accessory that I may only use once, and find it to be more of an inconvenience.

It's all the same, 1994-2002 (no convertible in 93). I had a 96, didn't have a boot, and didn't miss it. With putting the top down/up intermittently, and even sometimes up at a stoplight when a surprise rain comes, a cover would have been an inconvenience for me. Now, if you drop the top and never put it up, then I'd consider using one. I see you're in Chicago, your 96 doesn't happen to be purple?
