I found these for 209.99 and free shipping. Anyone know of a better price? Are these any good? I can almost afford these.

That is the best I have seen from a store. I got lucky and got a new set for $130 off ebay from someone who sold their car before installing them. That is about all that is available for the 3.8 at a decent price. Are you still considering using the 02 tubular exhaust manifolds?

I don't think the y-pipe I have can work, There is at least 6" differnts on the driver side manifold. I really do not understand how they can make a Y-pipe that fit 95-02 3.8s. these are not the greatest pics but the manifold on the 02 ends about level with the bottom of the block and the mid point of the pipe is about at the 3 plug on that bank. The 96 is 4" above the bottom of theblock and just about cenered with the number 2 plug on that bank.

With the motor out everything looks easy (oh, and I like the Harbor Freight motor stand...it looks surprisingly familiar...). I was going to say those headers are a little tough to get your hands back in some tight places (like most headers), but with the motor out it will be a breeze.

I really did not want to have to bend over 6000 times while transfering from oneengine to the other and for $40bucks you can't go wrong. Don't get me wrong I love snapon but withfour kids and wifey as a full time mom Harbor Freight is my friend.
