Question 3.73 Gears & MPG decrease?

Believe it or not, my SS has 3.23 Gears, and I was thinking of a change to 3.73 Gears & wondered how significant the MPG decrease would be? Perhaps I'd be better off just going to 3.42 or perhaps that's just not worth the trouble?

Thanks, so despite the loss in gas, was the gear switch worth it to ya? Still happy with them?

Also, did any Camaros come with 3.73 from the factory? Maybe 1LE's?

the trany and motor are put together with 373s in mind. work great just didnt pick the best time to switch with the price of gas and all. unless special ordered i would say no. 343 was as far as they went.
