You sorta can't. Ignition timing is controlled by the computer. You can have someone access the computer and change the timing that way, but there is really no need for it on these. Any particular reason you'd want to change the timing?

You would have to go back a lot of years to find a V6 that you could adjust the timing on. Sounds like a trivia question. I know the RWD V6 held on the distributor longer then the FWD but I can not remember the year. I am thinking 1989.

Sounds like the ICM is over heating. Local parts store should be able to test. Other possible thoughts would be a failing fuel pump/clogged filter, one or more coil packs over heating and failing. You can test most of that to determine whether it is still good or if it's failing. You could also pull the plugs and see which one(s) are out of normal operation. That way, you can narrow it down to specific cylinders.

could just need plugs and plug wires. starter could be getting weak and when it heats up it fails. 02 sensors may be fouled or failing. maybe cat is plugging up. has the ses light been coming on?

Underneath the coil packs. Packs will pull off once you unscrew them. The flat plate underneath is the ICM. You can test the ICM without taking the coil packs off.

It's a good starting place. But like Craby said, it could just be in need of a tune up or a failing starter or battery. Those can be tested as well. It's better to test everything you can before you start replacing parts.

Take it to a local parts store if you can. They should have a machine to test it.
