Default 2002 Camaro - Sure isn't running right!

Hey guys, great forum. I just picked up a 2002 Camaro, v8, about 2 months ago. Within the past week, it's been difficult to start & stumbles a bit for the first 20-30 minutes of driving. After that, it still has some hesitation when accelerating. I managed to get ahold of a factory tech book off the web, but I'm wondering if you know of any other good books or sources to find specific information for this problem that I might explore.

Thanks!

Is the MIL lit or flashing?
The best manual you can probably find, is the, GM F Body, Factory Service Manual (FSM) from HelmInc.com. It is over $100 direct, but sometimes you can find them cheaper on E-Bay.

need a little more info.....howmany miles? last tune up? does it have enough fuel pressure?

That is what I would try to check first. Pull the plugs and see how they look. Check fuel pressure and see if there is a plugged fuel filter. check resistances on the coils, could be a bad coil. Could be plugged cator exhaust. Restricted intake......so many possibilities, try to narrow them down. There is only 3 basic thing that make your car run: fuel, air, and spark.

If check engine light is lit up that will definitely point you in the right direction.

Guys, thanks for the advice. I manage to pick up the factory manual from e-bay & found a good diagnostic book from a place called pyramid3media on the net, only cost me $12 & help solved the problem. Found a bad coil & the O2 sensor was putting out 250mV. Running lean for sure. Replaced both & is running great. Again, thanks, great forum.
