Default 2000 SS Convertible spoiler removal

Im putting on the anniversary stripes on my SS and I need to remove the rear spoiler to do it. There are 4 bolts, 2 on each side, that was easy, but what about the center supports, there do not seem to be any bolts holding them, so Im guessing that some type of adhesive holds them on. When I tried to pull up on one side or the other to see if they would pop off it seemed like they were pulling up the trunk lid, and I dont want to damage my car. Anyone done this and can tell me the best way to get the spoiler off?

Thanks
wooz

I'm pretty sure its double sided tape take a piece of fishing line (about 16") and wrap one side around a screw driver. than run the line around the base of the support, wrap the other end of the line around another screw driver, and "saw" through the tape. After you get the spoiler off take a plastic putty knife and chip at the tape. I've done this to lots of cars and never damaged the paint, just take your time. Ohh and a nice hot sunny day helps. Also don't worry about getting it perfect your going to be covering it up.

Try a hair drier to heat up the tape -- comes off MUCH easier!
