Default 2000 camaro won’t start

i need some thoughts on my 2000 camaro 3.8. I’m having an issue where I turn the igionition to the on position and all my gauges come on the fuel pump cycles and I have complete power. I go to start and I hear a click and lose all power, absolutely nothing works, if I disconnect the battery and connect it Ill have power again and the same cycle repeats itself when I go to start. The battery has a full charge I checked fuses and they are fine so I’m at a lose, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight and check the other ends too,a bad ground can do that and so can a bad connection on the positive at the starter.

yes the connection at the starter could be the issue or starter bolts holding it to the engine may be lose.

Good suggestions and mine is cables may be deteriorating due to corrosion.
Nothing smaller than 1/0 AWG.
