Default 2000 Camaro (3.8) wont start

I was pulling into a parking lot the other day and my car just shut off. I pulled it to a help yourself garage on post that has mechanics to help you fix your car. We conducted a fuel pressure test on the car and it had about 40lbs. of pressure. The problem is I'm not getting any fire. I took out the Ignition control module and coil packs and had them both checked at autozone. All passed the diagnostcs test. I reinstalled them and the car still wouldn't start. After messing with it a little more, I tried to start it and it fired up 5 times in a row, shutting itself off on the fifth start. I then replaced the cam and crank sensors, but the car still will not start. I've read about multiple other cars that have had the same problem and I've tried a lot of their solutions. Does anyone have any suggestions? This thing has me and about 4 other mechanics stumped.

Thanks for the reply. Its not throwing any codes. I haven't tried starting it with the scan tool hooked to it though.

What does it do when you try to start it? Does it try but fail, or does it just literally do nothing when you turn the key? If it's a bad wire in the ignition like Craby suggests, the Security light would probably come on (unless its bulb is out), and it wouldn't do anything at all.

Are there any lights showing?

When I try to start it, it just turns over and over like it wants to start but doesnt. The security light works, but doesn't come on when I turn the key over.

check for spark at the plugs when u are turning it over. pull a plug wire off and stick a screw driver in the end and hold it close to a ground like the exhast manifold and u should see spark when someone is turning over the motor.

well your going to have to back track the power. find out were the juice stops. pick up a factory shop manual for ur yr. it will tell u where the power should be. its a pink wire to the coil on my 93z but im sure your 2000 v6 is very much different. google the net for the manual. make sure its a factory or dealer service manual and not a chiltins or other aftermarket book. i think the 2000 comes in a cd only.

Yeah, that's a way bigger problem than a wire in the ignition lock. Good luck, and let us know what you find.
