Ya so i decided to buy a new 1LE elbow for my car (the one without the air silencer) and was looking at them and i didnt see a hole up top for the hose. so i was wondering what that hose was for up top and if it was important. and if i was important could i just make a new hole on the new elbow for the hose. Also does that 1LE elbow give u any extra juice at full throttle doing down the 1/4. My final question is will my car idle louder cuz that (air silencer) is removed?

 

The 1LE intake elbow isn't going to get you much, if any extra HP, the "Air Silencer" aka Donkey Dong, doesn't protrude into the intake at all, so it can't resist flow. The only thing that you'll get out of it is a slightly louder intake sound...you probably won't notice it too much at idle, but when you get on it you'll be able to hear it more.
