1997 Camaro Interior
I am restoring my Camaro and my front leather seats are shot. I would really like to not use the same kind of leather. The leather feels cheap. I really like the leather seats in the 96 Camaro's, I was wondering if they are inter changeable? I can get everything including the back seats, I just wanna make sure these will go right in before I purchase them.
As many have said, they will swap out easily. The thing is, do you want a stock look or would you prefer a racing seat that will actually hold you in the seat? Just my opinion, but the stock Camaro seats are crap. You can probably buy a set of racing seats and upholster them any way you like for less than what it would cost to replace your stock seats-or get them reupholstered. That's what I've been finding, at least.
I say just recover your stock seats, it's pretty easy and there are several company's out there that can custom make you new leather for probably about the same as what the set of 96's would cost you. Look at leatherseats.com, katskinz.com, there are a bunch of others out there. I got mine from leatherseats.com and they are nice. I went a little overboard with the customizing.
+2^
got both, and my 95 leather seats are nicer than the 98s
