Default 1996 Both Head Lamps

I was driving my 1996 3.8L V6 Camaro at night when both head lamps (low beams) went out, simultaneously.

I checked every fuse in both fuse boxes and they are all good.

I'm just wondering if maybe the head lamps both blew at the same time?
Or maybe if one headlamp blows, they both go off?

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Oh! Forgot to mention, both fog lights still work, and my high beams work without problems.

Thanks again!

Yes, that would be a wild coincidence, but one likely cause at this point. Otherwise you would be looking at a power surge that only blew out the low beams? That would be an even more strange occurrence.
If there was an electrical short, it should have blown a fuse instead of the lights. Oh yeah, did you check your fuses?
BTW, if the lamps need replacing, you can buy just the bulbs instead of the more expensive complete housing. The original bulb is glued in, so you carefully pry the old one off and silicone the new one on.

Darn, I just dropped $27 for one of those, wish I had known that!

I have a write up on it in the exterior section. It's been stickified.
