Ok fellas, talk to me about the distributor on my 1995 Z28. She's got 104k on her and is running rough. Head gasket changed recently and idle was rough, ignition coil was bad and changed and it has since run better, but it's still not quite right. Mechanic thinks it's the distributor. I had a leaking water pump last summer that was changed, but didn't have any change in the idle.
So tell me, when the distributor is going out what are the symptoms?

if its never been changed then it is in the milage range of needed replaced. an unhappy opti varies from running bad to not running at all. and everything between... lol.

 

sounds good, can't have an unhappy distributor

 

Spend the money on a GM Performance opti, anything else I wouldn't trust to last any length of time.
