my car has always took a while to start but here lately it gets hot after running for about 20 mins. and I know I haven't blown a head or anything. I need help I really can't get rid of my car

 

Any codes? checked the condition of the coolant? How many miles ago was the coolant last changed? Using traditional or Dexcool (hopefully not mixing them)? Changed your thermostat? How many miles on the car? Check the fan(s) to see they work and aren't seized-up?
