Default 1995 3.4L V6 Camaro - OBD1/2

I'm in the middle of the "1995 OBD2 connector but OBD1 computer" abyss!! OK, so I purchased a new Equus Innova 3120B C.A.N. OBD 1 & 2 Scan Tool. Tried to pull codes with the OBD2 connector with no luck. Got the error message to check connectors, etc. Tried multiples times and still no luck. Attempted the "jumper" adapter method (mentioned on these Forums) with my OBD1 connector and still no luck. I then purchased a specific adapter for OBD2 connector to OBD1 scanner, still no luck. The scanner works perfectly on every other vehicle (5 others, OBD2's & ODB1's) so it must be the car, right? I checked every fuse, relay, wire, etc. with no "smoking gun" related to why the car won't talk to my scanner. Not one to give up easily, I went to Advance Auto, AutoZone, NAPA & O'Reilly's to try every scanner know to man (short of a GM dealership) and not one of them can connect and pull codes. All I get are error messages about no link. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks craby! I will try that tomorrow and let you know. That's why you guys are so great! Beating my own brains out instead of picking yours! Thanks!

craby, you were right. I had to tell my scanner that my Camaro was a truck! Thanks again!
