And again you are right I do have A LOT to learn so I figured better now than later since this will be my first self project, I know it won't be cheap or done perfectly the first time around but it's called a project for a reason so I joined this and a few other forums to start this learning process.

That is a HUGE project and it will be very technical. The PCM in your 1994 is not compatible with the PCM used on the LS3 motor. also the engine will not bolt in or even fit under the hood. That is a massive project for a speed shop with a fabricator and a professional tuner to get everything working. Getting the engine running will not be too hard but getting the rest of the 1994 electronic to work with 2008 tech is going to be a stretch. That LS3 is worth more then a low miles LS1 SS camaro.

You would be much better off finding a LS1 4th gen to swap the LS3 into. At least then the engine would bolt into place, you will just need a different hood. You still going to need to deal with electronic, even more so with the 98-02 tech. If you are serious about the swap forget what I said about figuring the old issue out. There will be no interchangeable parts off a LT1 that will work with a LS3. Fixing the LT1 is just a waste of time.
