Hi all, for a couple of months my car has had the SES light on. Pulling the codes results in the codes above. Searching through the forums I could not find more than the typical pump answer. Anyways, I confirmed that the AIR pump works. I checked the fuse and replaced the relay to no avail. The pump will not start by itself. I cleared the codes but do not hear the pump coming on. I wonder what else could be. I know that there are two check valves actuated by vacuum but I can barely reach them. I wonder if anyone has had to deal with this problem and how it may have been fixed.
An alternative would be to tune out the AIR system test. Is there a way to do this myself?

sounds like a wiring or harness connector issue.

 

Hi Crab y, thanks for the response, that's what I thought but not having a scanner that can command the test at will, makes it a bit difficult to troubleshoot. I know the wiring to the relay is fine.

 

solomon will send you the stuff needed to tune. costs a few bucks.
