01 camaro. Ok so I got a bad motor

I have a 3800 series 2 v6 in my 01 camaro and it's blown a rod I think and so I saw a 3.8 v6 out of a Buick la saber and said something about vin k and my camaro has the k as the 8th digit will that motor work for me?
