Wheel size to fill out the stance of an '89 Camaro RS
Hi folks!
I have an '89 Camaro RS that I'm refurbishing and I'm looking to put new wheels and tires on it that will fill it out for a wider stance than the stock appearance. I'd like the wheel/tire combo to come out flush with the sides of the car instead of the tucked stock appearance.
Am I correct in presuming that 8" wide wheels will achieve this look? Or, will I need even wider wheels than that? Also, the tires I plan to mount on the wheels will hopefully have about a ½"-¾" 'push' past the face of the wheels. (Not sure of the terminology on this)
Basically, this Camaro has the setup that I'm going for on the rear wheel. (the front is tucked) :
I want to put the same size wheel/tire combos all the way around the car.
Thanks for any help!

Thanks for that info. I tried to check out the pics you posted, but for some reason I'm not allowed.
But from what you said about not wanting to get crazy, I think you probably answered with just the information I was looking for.
Thanks again.
