Default Biggest size tire for 78 camaro wheel well

sup guys i got a 78 z28 and im in need of some new rubber, but i really want that staggered look. Big *** tires in the back and decent size ones in the front. what do you guys recommend that would fit in the wheel well? would 295's fit nice?

I assume you're trying to get the widest tire size possible without tubbing the rear fenders. I have a 71 with 275's and its a tight fit and I have fender flares in the rear. It's also going to depend on the offset, but if you want to get an idea, take a measurement from the inside of the fender well (the point sticking out the farthest) to the point where you want the tire in relation to the rear fender (keep in mind you'll want a little bit of a gap between the tire and the fender well). If you give your local tire guy the measurement he should be able to tell you about how wide you could go.
