Default what's the best spark plugs

do you think these new high tech plugs (Iridium, etc.) give better spark or are they just better for more milage between plug changes, I look at the basic old style plugs (NGK, Delco, Autolite, etc) and the spark looks hotter and I can't notice any improvement in starting or performance with these $7 spark plugs....just wondering what you thought...thanks

Platinum sucks.

Copper gives the best spark, but they don't last very long. Iridium gives a great spark and have been known to go 50k+ miles before needing a change.

If you don't want to always be changing spark plugs, then iridium is the way to go. If you're just looking for something that's cheap, works well, and don't mind changing the plugs, then copper is your bread and butter. Right now I currently have copper plugs that have been in use for about 4k miles and are still running well.

Because the plugs are a pain to change in the LS1 camaro, I used ACDelco iridiums. the plugs i took out were acdelco platinums, that had about 100k on them and they looked pretty good for the milage. I did notice a difference in performance with my plug change.
