wow, I was worried 26 might be a little on the high side, and you're running 36'ers which are middle of the road? what kind of setup do you have? And I talked to the guy about burning me a chip and he said the cam I had picked out was just too big, and recommended I went down to a 268H because my computer is speed density, not MAF but that doesn't bother me, the 268H will do everything I need

Yes with a TPI set up you can not go crazy with a cam, the 480 lift may be pushing it. The Prom is going to make or break this swap so get a good tune with one. You will need to check how much vacuum you will have for the brakes or a vacuum booster is the next step. Good choice with the 26# FI's. Just remenber bigger is not always the best choice. Good luck

im running a 383 stroker, however mine is the older years with a maf. the cam isnt big, .489 lift and im not sure on the duration, but its fairly mild since it is a street/strip/highway car. the specs in my sig were with a 750 carb, dual plane intake, and long tube headers. im thinking it will be more around 420/500 with the tpi setup

its TPI. maf is more accurate form of reading the amount of air going into the engine. map is basicly a vacuum sensor. bigger cams have lower vacuum, so the ecm will think its under load and will dump large amounts of fuel to it when it doesnt need it.

I know what the Maf is. But it seems that you are using the TPI & CARB systems in the same sentence when describing that 383.
