Default T56 transmission swap

My 91 z28 has the T5 transmission. What are your thoughts on finding a T56 transmission from a 93+ camaro/firebird and swapping that in? The reason for doing this is because I plan on possibly putting in a fuel injected 383 using the tpi setup that I have, or just sticking with a 350. I would also like to know what you think about the feul injected 383. Of course... I will have to buy all new intake parts, like throttle body, plenum, runners, and intake. But I heard of a cast iron vortec heads and intake setup that is made for tpi that is pretty good, and only around 900 bux. Also, what size injectors do you think I'll be needing?

About the transmission, go for it. The '93-97 T56 transmissions will fit perfectly to the existing area. I' m pretty sure it wont be a tough swap. It can hold onto more power. How many miles are on the 350? what kind of power are you searching for?

By sticking with a 350 I meant just go ahead and put a 350 in instead of tyring the 383. I have a 305 right now that is killing me with the lack of power.

Alright, are you going to find a 350 crate, or try an ls1 swap? depending on the 350 you want to drop in, the transmission youre looking for is going to change. I believe the crate 350's can work with the 93-97 t56 tranny. The ls1 i'm not so sure will work with it. If someone knows for sure, please correct me. What power numbers are you looking for?
