did you replace the pilot bearing when you put the new clutch in? when I put in my zoom street/strip clutch the old pilot bearing was so worn out that when I was using the bearing removal tool it took a full size bigger adapter to get it out. will be very hard to replace though...
It wouldn't be the pilot bushing/bearing, as all that stuff is spinning as a locked unit when the clutch is engaged, when he feels the vibration. If he felt a vibe when the clutch is disengaged, then I could see it. You'll probably want to jack up and block the rearend so you can get under the car and turn the driveshaft while feeling for anything unusual. Your vibration could be a bearing in the trans, a chattered u-joint, the pinion bearing, wheel bearings, or something out of balance.
