Unhappy Speedometer, Please Help!!!

i had a bulb go out behind my speedometer and i had to remove it in order to replace it. i also had to remove the needle. now my question is where is 0 mph at? is it all the way against the trip reset peg or is it midway between the peg and 5 mph, there is a little white dot there. please some one go look at their 87 and tell me where it is. thanks a million.

I have an 87, so if its the 85 mph version I'll look when I get home from work today. I've been working on it for two weeks but haven't been inside of it forever (engine swap)

not sure if you still need this but, on my speedo the needle is "zero" at
about 1/8" left of a small white dot that is about 3/8" left of the trip odometer reset button.

I know it's too late now, but you should have pulled the gauge cluster out as a whole to simply replace the bulbs from the back side. As you've found out, doing it the way you did opened up a needless can of worms.

Hey thanks man. i looked at mine again and that is exactly where it is, about 1/8" to the left of the small white dot. when i put it back i set the needle right on the dot. but after i drove it the needle "settled" at the exact spot you told me. oh by the way i know that is the right spot, i drove past one of those police "check your speed" things on the side of the road, and its right on the money. again thanks for helping me out.
