Default Speedometer

I am close to purchasing my camaro(finally!!) and I think I am going to buy one from this guy in FL, one of the only problems is apparently that when he replaced the clutch- the speedomitor stoped working... its a 94z28 So its an electronic measurement right?

What are the possible causes - and can someone gauge how much it will cost to fix this problem?

Also power locks I think was an issue working? ideas and costs?

Default RE: Speedometer

Try plugging the wires back on the speed sensor on the transmission tail shaft. Signal from speed sensor goes to PCM. PCM drives the spedometer.

I'm looking to extend my spedometer. If thats even possible, figured this would be the post to ask in. The spedo obviously only goes to 115, but I know I'll be pushing more than that eventually, are there any aftermarket spedos that have a higher range than that? I'm working on a project and I want it looking good as well as high performance

not sure if its legal to change your speedo but a z28 speedo would fit.

6LE has a speedo recalibration service for $300 if that's what you're looking for. It's a bit pricey but they take it up to 200mph.
