Something goes wrong at 3500 rpms
I have an 82 v8 305 z28.
Irecently changed to a D.U.I Cap and rotor and added some msd wires.
since then i get what i think is missfire at 3500 rpm. the car runs fine at low speeds but when i floor it, the engine revs up and all but the car remains at the low speed i was crusing at.
I replaced all the old part and the problem was still there.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Your prolly having a clutch problem manual or automatic, if the engine revs up normally the clutch prolly either isnt engaging properly or it is disengaging at around 3500 rpm for some reason or another. Any dummy lights coming on? I dont know too much about transmissions but it sounds like your clutch.

Its an Automatic Transmission. I think you guys might be right. But now when the car is idle and it is reved higher then 3500 rpm the rpm gage bounces eraticaly. at first i thought it was a dirty fuel filter so i changed it, Problem still there. I Think the problem might be electrical.
Any thoughts?
