I have been preaching your same sermon for a while, but no one listens. Instead they go into the full panic mode (FPM) and create duplicate posts. LOL

Yes brothers and sisters. Listen the the preachings of brother Pete. Can I get an Amen. I have seen this topic addressed many a times and I have not been on this forum for that long. Those of you who seek shall find the answers you are looking for. Can I get an Amen.

Just remember, these dupe posts give those of us who live by these forums a chance to up our post count without any real thought put in to it though. We all know there's nothing better than writing the same thing over and over again so we can be on a top ten list and everyone will say "Oooooo, they're on a top ten list, they must (be so cool/have no life)!"

In all seriousness, though. Pete is ussualy right, as are most of the other frequent posters, and most problems have already come up somewhere on the forum if you look a bit. If you don't see it after looking a bit, it's safe to ask, though.

Instead of making a new topic, this seems like it fits: My temp gauge either sits quietly at the bottom, or it bounces up and down past any possible point, is this a common problem with a quick fix?

I'd check to see if your fan is turning on. A good place to start is check the connector, Check the relay etc.

I'd have to venture a guess and say that you should check for a short on the sending unit on the intake manifold near the thermostat housing.
