Has anyone tried the new shell gas with nitrogen additives? My 87 Iroc seems to run very good with the 87 octane. According to Shell it really cleans up your valves. I wonder if this is true or just a sales pitch? Let me know what you think about it.

 

thats all i've been running (i live right next to the shell station) and oddly enough whenever i go out of town and use gas from a different place like BP or something i seem to get less mileage, but im not sure maybe it just seems that way

 

Man i agree 100%, it seemed like i was also getting better mpg's. i havent tried the v-power yet though. little more expensive but maybe worth it.

 

i was thinking about trying the v power too, but i wasnt sure if running higher octane would hurt my engine or not (it's entirely stock and idk much about it yet)

 

high octane gas will not hurt your car,low octane does,and shell has the crapeist gas there is

 

Marketing Hype....Nitrogen air in tires and now in gasoline and I guess this the new green wave.

 

u guys know that the earths atmosphere is predominantly nitrogen right? theres always going to be quite a bit of nitrogen in your combustion chamber

 

just try it..!!! nothing happens with that!...

 

theres a different reason for nitrogen in tires. but its more for offroading uses then anything else.
