I've been noticing the same thing recently, thought it was just me. Birdman, if you want to help, then by all means help. But kindly refrain from subtly working your chip burning service into most every solution you come up with.

 

Don't you know that almost every change you make to a fuel injected car requires a new chip burned? Especially engine swaps!

he is correct, especially with older efi. they can only compensate correctly for atmospheric changes on a stock engine. will it run fine with intake and exhaust, yes. will it run the best, no. especially not with a lot of work done

back on subject, how bad is the surge? base on what you said, im assuming its tpi. what is the rpm range that it is going up to and down to? have you tried resetting the iac motor or doing any idle adjustment?
