Flat. If they were rollers, the lifters would be sticking above the block, with a dog-bone connecting each set of two lifters together so they can't spin, and then a spider plate bolted in the center of the lifter valley with fingers to hold the dog-bones in place.

thanks,

i have another motor that looks like that too (must be a flat also) and i was wondering if i can use the same distributor being it will have a 4brrl intake on it? (87 fuel injected 350sbc and 83 4brrl 305sbc distributor).

im asuming its flat tappet because it looks the same, no spider plate or dog bones.
