So I was working on the camaro she started smoking really bad no oil leaks on the outside I had my dad check it over it it needs new rings

describe the smoke and also how did dad come to the conclusion?

 

Possibly the tail pipe was blowing smoke rings?

 

Nope just smokes dose it really bad at startup idel and under throttle

 

Also dad is engine builder built a lot of the sbc motors he had a 71 malibu while he was in the marine core

Well time to freshen it up then.

 

I'm pulling the engine and tranny when I get the Nissan motor Off the stand and put up on the self then I can go ahead and rebuild the tranny and do it all in one shot I might sell my rally truck to get cash for the project and while it's apart finish odds and end things

Yes, your engine is shot and needs to be rebuilt.
