yea my buddy has an 84 and he swears he gets 30 mpg going to work on the freeway, i told him BS but he swears by it.

I dont recall the mpg but it was real good when I put a 2.77 rear end in it.
I would cruise down the freeway at a "high idle"

On my stock 305 in my 77' it would get about 14 in city and about 18-20 on the freeway. It was a hell of an engine, it's sad to see it go
