Default Project car, need advice.

Hey guys, I just got a 91 camaro 305 for free, the body is in perfect condition minus some dents..

The motor is locked up though, thats the only problem...

So my plans are to rip the motor out and break it down and rebuild it, keeping stock internals if I can, I just need a daily driver car as I dont want to keep putting miles on my 02 WS6.

I just need some tips before I start ripping the motor out of it, I dont know anything about these motors, but im assuming its gonna be easier than my LS1 to work on.

But basically it sat on the side of the road for a year, the rear locked up also, but I got that free already, what could the possibilities be for the motor locking up? Theres oil in the air filter, and when you try to turn it over it just clicks, not a dead battery click either, a click like something is stopping the cam from turning.. think it could be a bent rod?

Thanks for the help in advance.

instead of tearin the engine apart and trying to rebuild it and use it for a daily driver, it would be cheaper to go to a salvage yard and buy a 305 to throw in the car IMO

First make sure the engine is the problem. The bendix gear on the starter could have gone bad and remained stuck into the flywheel teeth.
That will make the starter click, and can also keep the engine from turning, even by hand.
