Default OverFueling

Would a faulty connection to the coolant temperature sensor cause the ecm to think the engine is running in a very cold climate? and make it overfuel badly? Iam in the process of trying to breathe life into the engine on my 86 z28 iroc with the 305 tpi. While replacing the water pump i had noticed the idiot who owned it before me had broken the snap on thesensor and taped the connector to it.. jeez

The intake air temp would. You see on ebay people selling twenty cent resistors for five bucks and calling them power chips. They replace the IAT sensor to fool the computer by saying the air is cold and the computer adjusts for it. With the engines temp sensor for the computer if the computer sees an invalid temp for a certain time it will give a CEL
