more info. yr and model? should be a number on the motor block that you would reference in a repair manule. there may be a sticky for it on this site. not centerbolt so should be pre 87. other than that there is almost no way to tell a sb chev 265 from a 350 just from a picture like this.

Well it is not the stock Factory motor. Anything with your info is just a guess and the only sure thing it is not stock.

just a really stupid guess.... but i am going to say it is a 305. i dont think any 3rd gen camaros had 350's from the factory until 1985 and that one came with TPI only....not a carb. since the engine lift out tab is still on the front drivers side on top of the manifold i am guessing it in the stock intake at least. (otherwise i would have taken it off and chucked it in favor of a carb lifting plate when i took it out to paint the engine that sickly ford blue!) and i cant imagine swapping in another carb based 350 from another early 80's (pre center bolt head) chevy (imapalla truck, or other) as none of them were really any better than the 305 in the camaro. .
again. just a guess based on almost nothing.....

I dont believe that it is the original motor. It has the piece for attaching a hoist beside the valve covers. you would have to run the casting number to know what it is for sure. they are located on the back of the motor behind the valve cover drivers side.
