Alrighty then, did you compare the new harmonic damper (technically not a balancer) to the old one to make sure the marks are clocked the same (the relation of the crank key slot to the timing notch)? Some timing notches are in different spots, depending on the engine application. If the notch is in a different position, you're naturally gonna think the timing is out of whack.

o yea its running awesome, but i thought it was a bad new water pump when i drove into work, because it overheated slightly right as soon as i got here, i was pissed, so i exchanged it, put it on and it pumped for a minute or 2 then nothing out of the return line, so i pulled the thermostat, still nothing, unless there is rtv blocking the holes? but i did not go crazy with it
