That would be the number of bolts holding each main bearing cap.

ok i found a 85 trans am for sale, its a t-5, it needs the carb rebuilt, but the guy said it was a computer controlled carb, has anyone heard of this ?

Yes I had one on my 84 Z28. Its aka a feedback carb. It has a Throttle Position Sensor and an air /fuel ratio solenoid

what is the hp for a stalk 84 z28 all i have done to it is a borla exhaust.

Stock LG4 305 with Carb was 150 HP & 240 #/ft of TQ. If it is a catback the HP gain may be in the range of 15/20. Not a high performance engine.

LO3 305 TBI had 170 HP & 255 #/ft TQ and the rear end ratio was 3:08 (5sp) and 2:73 (atuo). In almost all cars it was also a open rear (no limited slip).

Well the RS model was not know as a performance car with the LG4 or LO3 305 engines. If you wanted performace the TPI 305/350 was the way to go.
The RS was a good looking car then and still is. I would just be happy with what you bought.

i am thinking about taking out the computer and getting a noncomputer contrloed carb and distrubter. i am having problems with this carb ithough it would just be a good idea. any feed back.
