I NEED MAIN & CONNECTING ROD BEARING CLEARANCE SPECS FOR 89 305 TBI

gonna plastigage bearings in a bit. then i need the specs to decide what size under bearings i need to order tonight.

my goal is to rebuild the 305 in a day then spend 2 days tops getting motor and trans in. and maybe another getting everything broke in and tuned.

so hopefully i can get the parts ordered and in by next weekend

 

i cant remember for sure but dont you divide plastigage reading in half for each side separate clearance.

if i cant get specs im gonna just go with 0.0025 for my clearance

 

just pulling it out of the air, but .002-.003 is usual for sbc. buy a manual and it will have all the tolerances
