I have a 1988 Camaro with the 305 and it is fuel injected. When I go to start the car it often surges while it idles from almost no rpm to about the 20 on the gauge. When I am driving it will it will sometimes not accelerate when i push the pedal and it will lose power die. Sometimes it just loses power and take like 10-15 seconds to start accelerating. what would cause this to occur?

 

I have the same problem its in the shop now to see wats goin on

is your air path unobstructed so that means intake and exhaust

next, is your fuel delivery system in good order

finally, is the ignition in good order?

your post and to be frank is nothing more than stating that you need to perform basic diagnostics. Either you have the tools and the expertise or you do not.
