Default MAF/Injector issue

I have a 1987 chevy camaro. It had a 305 engine, but we cracked the block so I purchased a remanufactured 350 (from Reman) engine for it. I transferred the original injectors (I think they are 19 lb) and the intake to the new engine and it runs good. This was about 2 years and 90,000 miles ago. Original computer etc. I have always been concerned that the injectors are undersized for the new engine.

Anyway, this week the engine starts but dies pretty quickly. When I unplug the mass air flow sensor it seems to run good. I suspect a bad mass air flow sensor. Do you agree?

Assuming I need to replace the mass air flow sensor, I am thinking now is a good time to replace the injectors as well as I was told that the two are tuned to each other. Is this true? What injectors do you recommend? How about Accel? What mass air flow sensor do you recommend?

The mass air flow injector on summit racing's web site for my car, lists for both the 305 and the 350 engines. How is this if the two engines have different size stock injectors? It says it is adjustable, how is it adjustable (if it is electronic and from my computer, my computer will think it has 19 lb injectors)?

Thank you for your help.

Joe

1) The Maf sensor is the same for a 305/350. forget the adjustable one from Summit.
2) 22# FI are the stock size for a 350.
3) you will need a new Prom (chip) for the ECM for the 22# FI
4) did you change the Knock sensor for a 350??

1st, thank you very much for your help. The car actually belongs to my son who is a college student.

1) Is the MAF not "tuned" to the injectors (A Ford fan told me this), and if so how are they the same, unless the chip makes it so? Do you not like that model, or is there something you recommend?
2) Thanks. Is it harmful to the engine to run with 19s? Does it only affect it at high RPMs?
3) Is this difficult?
4) Yes.

1)The GM maf system has nothing to do with the sze of the FI's. So forget anything about a Ford system. It is anair measuring sensor. Short explaination search for a detail one.
2) No, it is performance issue. Also you may be running little on rich side.
3)The Prom is easy to replace as long as it is for a 350.
