I just bought a 86 Camaro for $500. The guy told me that it's an IROC. I'm not convinced. How do I tell if it's an IROC or a Z28 with an IROC hood. And what parts are different? Is the performance of the IROC actually better or is it an apperance package?

Check the options codes in the center console. If the code "B4Z" is there, it's indeed an IROC-Z.

And the B4Z option was more or less a suspension upgrade as well as appearances.
