im looking into buying a 1985 camaro iroc but im wondering if theres any inportant things to look for. it seems to be in good shape but are there any main areas of concern?

 

Just remenber that it is a 24 YEAR OLD car. It is NOT going to be perfect after all those years and a number of owners who may have BEAT the hell out of it. All depends on the price, body and mechanical condition, Also if you can't afford to put money into it, PASS.

I am the original owner of 87 IROC and it still cost me a arm & leg to maintain it.

 

ok well there seems to be no rust the mold is normal as its been sitting for a year

 

Since it is so old you should expect on taking the engine out, people always lie about how good of shape their car is. Your not really going to know exactly how bad the car is until you take it appart. But thats just my opinion from my personal experiance.

 

well im not going to take it apart unless necessary but i do expect to do some engine work as it has been sitting for a few years

 

I guess your just gonna have to try to start it, you just have to hope that it was well taken care of

 

well i know it ran about 1.5 years ago when he last started it but the car seems to be in great condition from what i can see the tires are good there is no rust and the paint job looks good still
