fuel pump working no fuel in tb?
ive got a 92 rs tbi thats got me stumped couple times is randomly would not start and finally the other day after driving in a big rain storm took it home and went inside real quick went out and she would not start just power no crank so i immediatly went to the starter relay jumped it and it cranks now but still wont turn over i can here the fuel pump prime when i turn the key but when i crank it and look it the throttle body dont see and gas spraying? is it a problem with the key or the computer idk? and ideas
Sounds to me like it's possibly the passlock security in the ignition (key or module). Do a search here, I know the subject on diagnosis/bypass has been covered more than once. Do you have a second key to the car by chance? Try it and see if it works.
i tried to get the resistance from the key to bypass it with a resistorbut could not get a reading so im gonna go try and get a new one made today hope fully a locksmith can do it and i dont have to go to the stealership
Some hardware stores (I know ACE did) can cut you a new key. They have a small "resistance reader" box where they slide your key into a slot and it tells which is the correct resistance key blank to use. Of course, that's as long as they can still get some sort of reading from your key.
did they put passlock on cars this old? I know my 01 grand am has it and its nothing but a PITA. its pretty common for the computer to just " forget " which key runs it and you have to go through a relearning process( lock twice, unlock, turn key to on for 10 or 12 mins, turn key off and start). its stupid. i wish GM would get rid of it or fix the damn thing.

I found this, it could be helpful as a bypass fix:
