Okkk...so I just ordered the holley bypass regulator...I guess all I have left to find out is just how important is the kickdown and lock up if they are not hooked up right away???

MY 87 IS STANDARD. IF KICKDOWN CABLE IS NOT HOOKED UP TO CARB SHIFTING IT DOWN MANUALLYSHOULD BE THE SAME. EXAMPLE, WHEN PASSING. LOCK OUT ?PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU FIND SOMETHINGTHANKS

The kickdown isn't just a kickdown. That cable regulates when the thing shifts, if it's not hookes up you'll burn up your tranny. the lock-up I'm not sure, you may not have to worry too much about it but I'd get it hooked up ASAP. For SURE don't leave the TV cable un-hooked.
